Beacon Falls Cub Scout Pack 104, where adventure meets character development, and the great outdoors is our classroom. As part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), our mission is to serve and build the future leaders of tomorrow by instilling in young people the values and ethics that will guide them throughout their lives. Through a wide array of outdoor activities, including camping and hiking, we not only embrace the beauty of nature but also teach the importance of environmental stewardship.
The foundation of Troop 104 is deeply rooted in the principles outlined in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. These values—trustworthiness, loyalty, helpfulness, friendliness, courtesy, kindness, obedience, cheerfulness, thriftiness, bravery, cleanliness, and reverence—are not just words to us; they are the guiding stars for our scouts as they navigate the complexities of growth and development.
Our scouts are encouraged to explore, to question, and to challenge themselves. Whether it’s a serene hike through the woods, a challenging camping trip, or community service projects, every activity is designed to promote physical strength, mental awareness, and moral straightness. Beacon Falls Cub Scout Pack 104 provides a safe and nurturing environment where young scouts can learn important life skills, teamwork, and the joy of helping others.
Our scouting adventures and value-driven education are made possible through the generous support of our community. Events like the Bingo with a KICK! and partnerships with local organizations showcase the strong community backing for our youth scouting programs. It’s through this communal spirit that Pack 104 continues to thrive and offer meaningful experiences to our scouts.
Now, you have the unique opportunity to support the next generation of leaders by participating in the Duck Day Race. By purchasing a duck in support of Beacon Falls Cub Scout Pack 104, you’re not just contributing to our camping trips, hiking adventures, and community service projects; you’re investing in the future of our youth and the enduring values they carry forward.

Dive into the quacktastic world of Duck Day, an extraordinary event that has been making a splash since its creation in 2005 by the Naugatuck Chamber. The main event of the day is the Great Duck Day Race, where over 10,000 rubber ducks race down the Naugatuck River, each one tied to a raffle ticket for a chance to win. The first 21 ducks to cross the finish line claim prizes, including two chances to win $5,000 for lucky ticket holders.
But Duck Day is more than just a race. It is a lively festival that brings the heart of downtown Naugatuck to life. Maple and Water Streets are transformed into a vibrant destination where food and craft vendors tempt your taste buds, live music keeps the energy going, and games and activities keep kids and families entertained throughout the day. The event also provides a great opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services to a crowd of over 5,000 attendees.
Beyond the excitement, Duck Day supports a meaningful mission. Over the years, this community-driven event has helped more than 375 organizations raise nearly half a million dollars through raffle ticket sales tied to the race.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of it. Please note that Chamber employees are not eligible to participate in the draw, and all participants must be 16 or older to enter. The more entries in the race, the more exciting it becomes, with more chances to win.
Get your raffle tickets today and join us for a day of fun, community, and meaningful impact.
